I think that's right! =P

I have had good results with Andrew Mayne's Freefall. His other products have gotten good reviews but require just a few hours to build some fairly cool illusions, namely his Illusion EFX dvd and Voodoo Box.

You could also try some stage comedy. If you have ever seen Michael Finney's card-on-head routine, it is easy to do (can be done in so many different ways) and can get some great laughs if you time your patter correctly.

Bearing in mind that nobody on here knows what your performance ability is like, then nobody will be able to give you any actual useful advice. What effects did you have in mind? Or were you thinking of just learning how to do a couple of things and throwing them together in a haphazard way and trying to pass it off as a performance piece?

Take the Headmaster's tie off, pull out a pair of scissors then cut it in half, then restore it - exactly the same as the Cut And Restored Rope Trick but will work better as the Headmaster will be really pis sed off that you cut his tie up and the children will all think its really funny.

Saw a really-disliked teacher in half. Then 'accidentally' make the trick go wrong.
