looking for a name?

Postby Marting » Jun 16th, '10, 16:31

hi im looking for a name of a force that i seen when watching roger crothswaite perform in london a few years back. he has a spectator shuffle the deck and cut it they look at there card and put it back and then they shuffle the deck before handing it back.

Any thoughts?

i dont belive it was a svengali. iv not much experience with gaff decks but is a one way deck all the same? if so i belive he spread the cards therefore eliminating that prospect. but correct me where im wrong.

or to rephrase the question does anyone know a method using a normal deck?

Why use a normal deck when a gaff makes it easier?
You could try a marked deck.

could be an 'aircard' in there. which may be the same as a 'ridge card' but I'm unfarmiliar with that term.

thanks for the ideas. im going to try a breather crimp or a ridge card and see how that works out.

i dont think the gaff deck are usefull for thiss as im trying to force a key card to gain a position for an ACAAN effect. idea being if i can get the spectator to locate my key card then i won't have to touch the deck.

Breather card in an air card. And it will work...most of the time. I'd have a handy 'out' at the ready. Paul Daniels used a one way deck, it was brilliant. You don't have to spread the deck first to show the faces. Laymen assume the deck is legit. Especially if they get to handle the cards.
