So I may be able to go to Blackpool next Febuary, but I was wondering:

A. Is there anything good there from a mentalists point of view?
and
B. Is there anywhere better in Britain thats the equivilant of "Mindvention"?

I haven't attended any, but the Tabula Mentis gatherings would seem to be what you are looking for. Google them.

Very little mentalism as such at Blackpool. Loads of magic, loads of lectures, and plenty of dealers ready to part you from your hard earned. Some of the stuff on sale and demoed has application in mentalism effects but it's mainly magic.

Blackpool is 14 year old Swedish kids showing you how super mega awesome their clip shift is at 2 in the morning.

The level of mentalism doesn't get too high; it's mainly just Marc Oberon moving some magnets around.

Probably not your kind of thing but I'll buy you a beer if you're there.
