It's obvious that certain audiences will be attracted to certain types of magic or presentation. An example would be children and certain forms of children's magic.

However, I was wondering about your experiences with different cultures in your country. Not culture in terms of ethnicity (unless you wish to share it), but rather urban versus rural versus suburban, rich versus poor, pub culture verses opera culture, etc.

Do such things impact on your choices of what to concentrate on if you want to make a quid out of it?

Reason I ask is the state I live in is small (pop. 450 000) spread out, mostly rural. And I don't get out much. Town I live in only has 250 people. So I'm looking at broadening my scope in the best way possible... vicariously
