trick dice?

Postby naychandler1 » Oct 28th, '10, 18:28

ive searched around on the net a bit but cant seem to find defiant answer.. so ill also try here...
im just wondering if you could buy trick dice- which could also be examined by the spectator.

basically say you had 5 dice and each time they are rolled they always add up to say '24'. but the spec can check them if they went to. not sure if there is such thing :s .

thankyou.

plenty of crooked dice and a few ways to make your own exist but any "loaded" die won't stand up to close scrutinisation. (flat edged die are harder to spot but don't always roll to a specific number every time) there are however some incredible switches out there too

It sounds like you want 'force dice'.
There are a few sets on the market.

cards for magic sell many different versions. Also research methods for putting a bias on ordinary dice. For example the news print method.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

thanks guys, ive been searching for loaded dice and ive come across this set. this might sound a bit 'thick' but can anyone re-word the meaning of this please??

'A set of 6 loaded dice (to throw the numbers 1 to 6), plus two matching ordinary dice which you will find many uses for in magic routines.

Yet they are specially designed and loaded so that they will throw the required number or total with varying degrees of certainty (even 100%) depending on the way they are handled.'

does this mean that 1 die will always land on a 1 another always lands on 2 another always lands on 3 etc etc.??

There's a nice little dice force box in Annemann (I think) which uses a matchbox. The dice can be examined all you like.

I think Corinda has another type of dice force too, although ISTR it's not examinable!

Yes, that's the one. So it does seem like forcing dice are the answer to your problem.
