Hey, Jobasha,
If you don't mind me adding my two cents I would like to jump in.
I'm not sure if this is a party or some sort of routine you're making, but here's an idea if it's like a party you're going to.
Bram Stoker is kind of Victorian in away, and some people in the steam punk community use this as a basis for their gothic vampire escapades sometimes. So if you are able to set up the area first, get to building a jacob's ladder.

This is for the mad scientist part. Maybe hook up some leyden jars, but not really have current going through so you don't shock yourself.

Basically make it really mad scientist like. You want to set the atmosphere. From there you could start off with talking about Dracula, and vampires. Maybe go a little into how your family was involved with vampires. Whatever you decide to do, but link it to vampires. Then say you are a relative of someone who supposedly worked for Dr. Van Helsing or something. Then you produce a vial of red liquid which could be cherry syrup for all I care.
You can then say you are going to drink it to show that vampires might indeed exist. After you drink it you could do some cold readings to show you can peer into people's souls. Then you can rip a deck of cards in half to show your strength, move up to a phone book. You can look online to see how that's done. Minor fist grip is necessary, if you don't have the necessary hand strength to do that, then there are other ways to imply vampiric strength. From there you can do some thought reading and book testing. Once you've establish "authority" you should do a hypnosis trick. Whatever you choose. Maybe an immobility one or sleeping one. I'm thinking like Armand from Interview With a Vampire where he says no pain. But instead of stabbing some one or eating them, you could do fall asleep or something simple. Just really mess with them.
Well that's my idea. Not really impressive, I know. But I'm trying.
P.S. Some other notes you could do is faux regressions or maybe two person predictions. Just keep it to the theme that you are exerting your new vampiric powers to control them.
