How should a teen present Mentalism?

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

yeah, i get what you mean, it would be stupid to be an expert or something at it at my age, rather than just kinda understanding when and how peaple do and think certain things.

here's something interesting that happened today.
i did Richard Osterlind's Breakthrough Card system basic presentation (little changed for psychology backstory normally) for someone, for the first time i didn't introduce myself as anything, no Psychological illusionist, magician or anything, just to see what his reaction would be.
right after the effect, he just ASSUMED i had physic powers, he went like: do we all have these abilities and do we have to train them, or is it a gift?
to be honest, i was a little shocked, but also pleased he linked what i did to psychic powers right away, with me only briefly mentioning the word Mentalist.

i told him right away that it had to do with psychology, that he unconsciously gave me signals from body- and facial movements, without doubt he accepted that too.
i also came up with the title "Psychological Mentalist" which i kinda like.

that, i thought was a thought provoking moment, and ill be more confident passing it off as psychological mind reading.

Yeah nice, its nice sometimes for spectators to build their own perception of you and and what kind of magic your 'magic' is.
But the whole 'body movements' etc. has that Derren Brown flavour, I mean more like 'men pick different colours to women' or people of certain ages usually pick different shapes etc. Kind of like taking how Banachec talk in his books, but not revealing the secret. Just using it as a presentation, so in a way you are not lying about what you are doing.
