For those of us who like to wear card-motif cufflinks, Marks and Spencer are selling a gentleman's shoe ref T03/1697 for £65. It looks like a plain black leather slip-on from the top, but ... wait for it ... the sole has the playing card suits embossed. The heel has (it gets better) the Ace of Spades embossed into it.

Fashion doesn't get better than this. Understated urbanity and discretion. Only you and your nerdy self need ever know. A bit like ladies' panties.

Needless to say, I've just bought a pair from the Marble Arch branch.
