Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

You don't know Paul. He is now going off to sulk, possibly never to be seen again.
To be fair to him I think he has only done this music presentation once in his entire life. He was probably bored one evening and decided to do it for amusement and put it on You Tube.
I think the clip is very historic. After all he has never done the trick to music before the clip and he will never do it again.
No need to fret over it.

With regard to the exposure thing all that is really wrong is the title of this thread which gives the game away. If a new title was substituted I would relax and not get all agitated.

Jim, I agree with you completely about the music! For Heaven's sake, choose something original and make it your own. Well, you might ask. Why did I use Copperfield's music?

The answer is Mark Lewis is correct. I WAS bored one afternoon and for shits & giggles I decided to perform the routine with the music in the background.

I promise that when I do the trick for lay people out in the real world (which admitedly is rare because I am a Mentalist and not a conjurer) I do not use any music whatsoever, but rather my quick tongue and quicker wit.

Glad you liked the routine tho.

Don't be silly Paul. You ARE a conjurer and a bloody good one. Mentalists make me laugh the way they try and kid themselves they are not magicians.

Paul is highly irritated that I mention him in my memoirs saying that he is a mentalist and then I explain that a mentalist is someone who does magic tricks with a mindreading theme. I have to do this since the book is going out to the public market at some point. Magicians know what a mentalist is but the public don't.

He is lucky to be in the book in the first place. And there are more photographs of him than anyone else and thankfully there ar no signs of his feet in the pictures.

The book should be out in the next few days (possibly tomorrow) to the American market. The Brits will have to wait a week or so. Canadians even longer which is ironic since I actually live in Canada.

But back to the ace trick. It really is the best of all the four ace tricks. That being so I think the title of this thread should be altered so as not to give the game away. The combination of the thread title and the videoclips on this thread do give the secret away and I think this is regrettable.
