Thanks to everyone on TM and I'll see you around :)

I'd just like to say a huge thanks to everyone here who's given me such great support and encouragement over the years. I've made some lovely friends, had brilliant fun swapping ideas back and forth with people and wouldn't have achieved half as much as I have without you all.

But recently there have been some things said and written about me that haven't been all that nice (not on TM by the way). Now I really don't mind people talking about my books, people are allowed their opinions but alot of what's been said both to my face and behind my back has gotten quite personal. It's not just me but a good friend is also getting bad mouthed because of my association with him. There's been comments from me being Kenton Knepper's 'pet project' to people and their rather lewd theories as to why he's 'giving me such attention' right down to the best so far, that I'm actually Kenton in disguise.

He's been a great friend, help and encouragement to me so I find it really sad and upsettng when I hear things like that being said. I'm just very bored with the silly games that people seem to want to play and I've got far more important things going on in my life at the moment and really don't need to have to put up with all that rubbish as well. So I've decided that I'm going to take a break from forums and the magic internet community for a while. I've got a few little projects on the go at the moment and I'm going to carry on with those but I think I just need to get away from all the negativity.

I'll pop back in now and again but wont be as active as I have been and I'll keep you all updated on how things are going. My friends all know where to find me, so keep in touch and perhaps I'll be back once things have settled down a little.

Thanks again for everything and I'll see you all around again sometime :)

Ugh. Internet nonsense. :(

Best of luck with your projects, and I hope you don't go too far down the road of Ricky Jay...

Totally understand. People can be vile little creatures when they want to, especially when they're hiding behind PC monitors. Take care, and good luck with everything.

I know exactly who you're talking about Lomster, and frankly, for a clever person he's really stupid.

I'll be sad to see you go Lommy, but I understand why!

I wish you all the very best in everything you do, both personally and professionally.

The forum wont be as pink and fluffy and light hearted without you shin kicking us blokes back into our place!

The forum will really miss a true character who always was willing to help other folk as much as possible!

I hope to see you back on here sooner rather than later, take care flower and all the best.

I don't know (and don't need to know) who you are talking about. It sounds like someone who cannot just admit they are jealous of your talents and the calibre of your professional contacts.

Best wishes and enjoy the break.

It's always a pain when people behave like twonks. I think they see the perceived anonymity of the internet as going two-way, in that they can say whatever they like with no comeback, and - in the process - assume that no actual harm is being done.

It's as if we're all just 'virtual people'.

I say big smelly pumps to the lot of them.

However, I'm also aware of the big adventure coming your way (or does it count as two big adventures?). They're going to be much more deserving of your time and energies than any online prat. :)

I can completely understand, I recently deactivated my Facebook account because people seem to change personality when they connect to the interweb.

You're doing the adult thing by walking away and not getting involved, let them have their pettiness.

Good luck with everything.

Kenton in disguise! Now the pieces are falling into place...

We'll miss you, you know. But it sounds like you're doing the right thing. Walking away from trouble is usually the best, and we certainly know you have more than enough on your plate right now!

Speaking of plates, here's a slightly misspelled Cake Wreck to see you off in good cheer:

Silly, jealous people. Don't mind them, Becky; you do your thing and leave them to play their spiteful little games. Sad to see you go, but on the plus side I can now remove my shin pads...

Sorry to hear youre leaving Becky. Its sad that someone feels they should take time out because others cant keep their opinions to themselves.
Good luck with your current projects, and we hope to see you back soon.

I'm sorry to see that you've been on the receiving end of such disgraceful behaviour. Sadly, there are plenty of bitter, egotistical idiots in the magic world and a huge number of socially inadequate losers who haunt internet forums to troll and snipe. So, when you have a magic forum, you double your "fun".

Thank goodness the moderators here run a tough (but fair) ship, and most of the posters are decent sorts.

Sorry to see you go again, but you do have other things to focus on right now!
