A trick based on the horror movie 'The Ring' or 'Ringu'

Hello everyone,

First of all, I'm new to this forum so please, bear with me if I'm, in any way, writing in violation of the forum rules and regulations. I'm just looking for tips and suggestions from my fellow magicians.

Let me assume some of you have seen 'The Ring/Ringu', a Japanese horror film. I'm working on a new trick (not new actually....it's basically a version of business card cardiograph by Brian Curry taken a little step further) based on a very famous scene in the movie. After a couple of trials and errors, I finally filmed it tonight using my camera phone (sorry, my regular camera and web cam are out of order. I'll upload a better version - better handling, better gimmick, better camera etc. - as soon as I can) so that I can show it to you and receive feedback. I uploaded it on my youtube channel (link given below). Please, check it out and let me know what you think. Spectators can sign the bottom of the card before the trick (I assume you all know how) and keep it as a souvenir at the end of the trick. My handling still sucks, though. I'll take it down soon after you guys see it. If you have any suggestions on ways to improve it, I'm all ears. I'm still not fully satisfied with it myself. I'm also open to criticism.

Thanks in advance

heh, nice idea

Seems to be a lot of shaking, which takes away from the effect a bit. Could it be done without that?

Thanks for your reply

I'm still working on it and yes, it can be done without shaking. but I'll have to practice harder. I shot that video without much practice. The gimmick is also not properly made...the card is too soft and tends to bend and all that, you know :)
