Normal and Invisible, poss brainwave too but only as an option.

Normal deck allows you to do any number of tricks and the invisible speaks for itself!

well...heres wut id do...first id completely master the act of deck switches..and when i say this i mean COMPLETELY MASTER...and then id use every single one of the decks but just switch decks each time so the audience still thinks its that same old crummy deck from 5 mins ago.

Yes, but how many decks can you carry at one time .

Normal and Invisible should be more than enough.

It's a bit like juggling. Too many decks and somewhere along the line you'll get caught out. Imagine doing an ID and you can't remember which pocket which deck is in?

The best street magicians that I've seen are able to do a variety of tricks - not just cards and too many decks will take up invaluable pocket space.

I totally agree with the others that have recommended a normal deck and a an ID and simply work on the switch between these two.

a resonable suggestion except my regular deck is marked and stripped and sometimes stacked (if it ok for darren brown ots ok for me, devils picture book).  :D

bob70011...wut else do you have in your arsenal for street magic...im going to be rather blunt here but IMHO card tricks get very boring to the laymen after a while. Unless there are other magi around you wont really be complimented on your excellent double lifts, or your card controls so it can look rather boring the the laymen..but thats just my 2 cents

what other non-card effects do you have in your arsenal...

I carry an ordinary deck, a Phil deck and that's it....how many decks do you need.....

I personally thought when I first started magic that I might need an ID to get me out of trouble and carried one for that purpose, however I learned to do without one....I would jazz it and figure out ways to get out of trouble with an ordinary deck....

If you lose the card then ask them to pick another card and find that card, then ask the name of the first card and palm it and produce it from your pocket claiming it wasn't in the deck from the beginning.

I have many outs, you just have to engineer them to suit the occasion, and you don't need any other pack of cards except an ordinary one.....

Why burden yourself with loads of packs of cards....I carry a Phil deck because it's a good trick but I don't like to have my pockets full of other packs of cards, I need them empty for other effects! :)

I carry only 2, a straight deck and a nudist deck. You can't do with carrying too many decks. The nudist deck is blank at the end so there is nothing wrong with pulling a different deck later.

If you want to use different decks that appear normal !! You should switch them. I prefer to use the nudist cos when I do a card trick later it will be no use to me cos I put it away blank, so pulling a different deck is not suspicious !!

Also, I don't use many packet tricks, and those I do wouldn't come from an ordinary deck because they are different ie, Twisted Sisters, Card Warp etc. I also use ESP cards in packet tricks.

But my pockets are also filled with other effects using paddles and coins such as Hopping Halfs. I can run for a couple of hours with a straight deck so I don't depend on too many fake decks.

I have Phil but its not reliable because people tend to follow me round and I couldn't repeat it if someone had seen it earlier.

I had a bloke follow me last week and watched Card Warp half a dozen times. He kept saying, I still can't believe it !!
