I want to buy the effect where one takes a burning candle from ones inside pocket.
tried to google it but came up with everything but.
dose anyone know its name and a decent make please?

I believe it is called Worlocks Candle. I am not sure If this is what you are looking for but it does the job.....Mike Danata down in Bournemouth has a number of candle routines and he is fantastic and great for advice on all things Magic.

Because the mouse doesn't set the candle alight at the right time reliably enough

neither. Its part of my collection.

I think that you can still get them though. Its fueled by Lamp oil, rather than lighter fluid. and has a nice, but basic ignition method.
