Just shows how good you are Paul! Seriously, the events I've seen you do are very clearly shown to be for entertainment purposes only and you state that right at the start of each presentation. Anyone confusing thngs after that must have made their minds up long before the show.

I think he just saw an on-line ad and got the wrong end of the stick. It's no biggie. There was a thread on it that I posted after Tomo pointed out to me the actual Tweet, but I can't find it now sadly.

There's a whole load of issues surrounding the Magician as Sceptic debate. Paranormality does worry me a little as it 'reveals' methods us Mystery Entertainers use.

What would happen if I wrote a book called "Card Magic Isn't Real: An examination into what really happens when you see a close up magician."

Don't get me wrong, in real life I'm a sceptic, but I deliberately blur things in performance. Nothing wrong with that.

I just feel that some magicians should have some care towards others who might use their art differently.

True, but I can't see it being too damaging to the psychic industry? I mean, with all the atheist books out there, it hasn't really harmed religion has it? I think you'll do just fine. You are good at your job, after all

I hear what you're saying but I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about. I don't think the Masked Magician did any lasting damage to the industry and, presumably, his TV show reached a far wider audience than Wiseman's book will ever achieve. Also, Wiseman is a psychologist first and a magician second, using magic to illustrate his points on occasion. I could be wrong, but that's my take on it.
