Magi

 This is going to sound really stupid... I'm sorry, but ... how do you pronounce MAGI in English?

Some words are part of my written vocabulary, but I've never heard them spoken out loud - this is one of them...

is the MA pronounced like "may" or "MAgic"?

the G like "Geek" or "Genius"

the I like " I am " or "Ignore"?

How about Magus?

Just wondering...

LP.

Magi is pronounced "may-jeye" A bit like magic but without the "c" on the end.

Same with magus. "May-jus".

Mah-Jy

Mah (rhymes with HA) Jy (rhymes with try)

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

And just to muddy the waters, I always reckoned magi to be singular and the plural to be magii, pronounced MayJee Eye. But I could be wrong....

I always thought Magi was plural and Mage was singular.
