Aura electric touch effect?

Postby jwardmagic » May 4th, '11, 15:09

I'm thinking of developing a routine involving the electric touch gimmick. Since the static given off from the device can bend streams of water, I was wondering if it is possible to 'feel' the static when you wave your hand close to a spectators without touching?

With this in mind, if possible, I am thinking of working it around an aura style mentalism effect along with some cold reading.

Any thoughts/help?

I thought of using a loop but, I dont see how that would work when placing my hand near theirs. It would work by waving two hands close to their arm etc...but I am looking to put hands close to each other.

Loops are used in version of PK Touches but have been used for doing something very similar to what you are talking about here.

I've not played with the Electric Touch but I'd imagine just causing the hair to move and raise would be a potent bit of business, depending on what your presentation patter is. . . it would definitely prove solid if you were talking about things like Reiki or Healing Hands/Touch Therapy maybe even something connected to other alternative healing concepts like Crystals and Pendulums.
