Ideas for something a little different at a wedding

Wondering if anybody out there can offer a little creative input. I'm Best Man for a wedding later this year, and chatting with the Groom earlier we thought it would be fun to do some kind of "effect" during the wedding - something to do with the table numbers, seating plan or alike. We don't want it to turn into a full on magic trick with wedding guests coming up on stage or anything like that - but an interesting revelation which involves everybody to some degree.

Any plot-lines would be greatly received - I'll worry about the methods!

Many thanks,
G

Depending on how your seating plan is arranged, you could put together a kind of matrix force (a la "Almost Real Prediction") using the table layouts - each seat has a number on each table, and each table elects one of their number to come forward, the tables being arranged beforehand into groups.

This has the advantage of getting everyone speaking to each other beforehand, and doesn't involve someone standing at the front taking attention away from the bride and groom.

Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

That's an excellent idea - thank you. I had been toying around with Marc Paul's "Summing Up" (thanks to Mandrake for making me aware of the Fleetwood Notes), and some form of ARP could be great... especially since the wedding invites haven't been sent yet...
