I must now inform everyone that the end of civilisation as we know it is about to happen this very evening. I have been in touch with a higher power who has informed me that it is all going to happen tonight and we must all be prepared for it. (Tonight meaning on west coast of America time)

There is going to be great astonishment afoot in the world of magic this evening! People will say that it cannot be possible. A cataclysmic event is about to occur which will cause great wailing and gnashing of teeth.

The apocolypse is truly upon us! And unlike the Harold Camping prediction this will actually come true tonight.

I shall make the tumultous announcement in an hour or two. You must all be prepared for a shocking revelation. It is very important that this is posted on every magic forum possible.

Don't be silly, Kobain. There hasn't been time for you to sell the house. You really musn't tell fibs. It could affect your promotion prospects. Mind you telling fibs may actually get you promotion from what I understand of these matters.

And I am quite sure you haven't farmed out your kids to foster parents. You probably sold them.

Anyway there is no need to make drastic preparations. I am the only one who has to make the preparations. Once I have done so I shall announce the event in question. I can promise you that it will be of earth shattering significance in the world of magic.
