Advance bookings

Postby TheStoner » Jun 20th, '11, 18:43

My 2011 diary is pretty full and 2012 weddings are getting going now, but I've recently had one enquiry for 2013 and one for 2014! I've suggested that we talk again nearer the time. Be interested to know what's your policy on advance bookings?

Wow, you must be doing well if they are asking for bookings in 2014! I would say that they should phone back nearer the time as your circumstances may have changed.

Logic would surely be for you to phone them rather than hope they retain your phone number and contact you ?

That's the plan. Although if the marriage plans have all fallen through in the meantime it could be an awkward call!

Anyway shouldn't you be finishing my extra hard Biloquist/Barbula rather than posting on here?!?

I'm a wedding toatmaster and master of ceremonies. When people book me, they pay a deposit (typically 20%) to reserve the date. I confirm the booking, acknowledge receipt and specify when we should talk again to finalise details.
