I have the Eddie Gibson 2p/10p version, I bought this many years ago and it still works fine. I'm not certain but I think Eddie stopped making them because the newer 2p's were made of a different metal composition which were difficult to machine (though I may be wrong)
I don't have the £1/1p version but I think you could do the coin change with it; there is a routine where the smaller coin is passed back and forth below the larger, on the third time it passes it visually changes to a smaller, different coin.
In my version the 10p changes to a 20p (or 1p if you wish) In the £1 version the 1p could change to a 5p, if the 5p is small enough to fit inside the £1 coin s***l that is. (I hope that wasn't exposure, if it was the mods can edit)
Some of the cheaper versions of 'Coin Unique' can work okay but don't bear close inspection.
I never offer my Eddie Gibson version for inspection anyway, after all, it's 'just a coin'.
Edit : The Gibson coin I bought came with instructions for a number of routines including a great visible penetration of a coin through a drinking glass. I presume the £1 comes with this as well but as I don't have it I'm not certain.
