BIG DEAL.... Magictao

Postby daleshrimpton » Aug 7th, '11, 19:15

Name: BIG DEAL

Available from: MAGIC TAO, & Other dealers.

Price: £16.99

Maker: Antuan Dimitras.

Examinable: almost...but this is not an issue.

Difficulty: Easy

Out of 10: 8

Effect

The spectator is shown a deck of cards. They are then handed cards numbered 1 to 5 , which they shuffle, then freely chose any two. eg, a 4 & a 1. they then have a choice of using the number 14, or 41.
Using simple maths, the freely chosen number generates the spectators lucky number. the deck of cards is then dealt through, and the card that lies at the spectators number is shown to match a prediction that has been on show at all times.

Comments

Now, those that know their clasic magic, will recognise the principle behind part of this effect.
But its well hidden, and lays wont pick it up.

what helps hide this, is the fact that you can deal one card at a time, right through the deck, and there are no duplicate cards what so ever. indeed you make a point of what card they would of ended up with, if they had chosen to start off with the other number.

Initialy, it struck me that a potential downside to the effect, is that you can not repeat it. But... once you learn the handling, you can change the cards to force another. Its very simple to do so, as yiou will see if you get it.

what you recieve is, the special deck of bycycle cards, the 5 number cards, an envelope cointaining the prediction, and full instructions on handling, care ect of the trick.

available from Magic Tao, and many other dealers.
