Stick to the cards, everyone loves a good card trick

Are you watching closely? Then I'll begin...

Actually no, they don't. I'd prefer to have my teeth pulled without anaestethic. Cards are even more boring than big box illusions. Top of the boring list has to be any ace assembly, followed closely by ambitious card.

A gentleman is someone who can do card tricks - but doesn't.

I agree with Tony I would have said most people in this country will cross the street to talk to the market research teams rather than be accosted by a magician doing cards.

He asked me if I liked card tricks. I said "No.". He did five.

I'm surprised by everyone's dislike of sponges, they get much better reactions than (most?) card tricks.

The card tricks which do get a good reactions tend to be the ones which have the same ''effects' as sponges - transpositions, changes, etc

If you're not using sponges you're missing out. Just try it. Leave the cards alone and do something simple with sponges. People love it.

Also, for those of us in Scotland, it's not a problem if they get soaked when it rains!

I was of the opinion that sponge balls were really not my thing, but I thought as I am relatively new they deserved a go.

Honestly the look of delight on even an adult's face when you stuff a 'rabbit egg' into your fist (a normal sponge ball), open your fist and it's turned into a big sponge rabbit is priceless.

I hadn't even really considered sponges before, to be honest. Maybe this warrants further investigation.
