Or where would you suggest I advertise it so these collectors will see it?

Not sure about the best place to advertise as I'm not a collector, just curious. My first inclination would be e-bay of course and just see how much the bids go up to. Have you tried a Google or e-bay search for sellers/buyers of DC mags etc?

(The mention of Green Lantern brings back a lot of memories, ' In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let all who worship evil's might, beware my power - Green Lantern's light!' or something like that. And he didn't need to recite the oath each time he recharged the power ring - it was just his way of reminding himself of his purpose. Geez - I'm 14 again guys! Apparently the artist used Paul Newman as his inspiration for the character appearance. Not a lot of people know that!)

Ellisdons was an Alladins Cave for me in the early 60s. I bought my first whoopee cushion mail order from them and lots of small card tricks that I have long lost and forgotten. Oh and I got my first Pound Note Printer there. Of course a pound was a hell of a lot of money for me in those days so I was regularly trying to borrow the most essential prop from my dad to show the thing off to friends and family.

When my brother and I got taken on a rare trip to London we were always allowed a visit to the shop. As well as their catalogue I have a vague recollection of the advertising tricks and jokes as whole page adverts in magazines or comics. Anybody remeber this?

Christ.....what a memory for me,my grandfather brought the catalogue for me many moons ago,I can remember making out a "Wish list" even back then....

Mandrake..thanks for sharing the websites with me,only today,I recieved an autographed photo of one of my Magic heroes...Terry Seabrooke,but it got me thinking of the Magic series..."And for my next trick"..how many of you remember that one?....

Terry Seabrooke is awesome. I saw him compere the Top Secret Magic Day at Milton Keynes last year - and he really pulled the whole show together. he was hilarious and his little magic snippets were fantastic...

I remember those tricks too, and mail order buying of tricks.
I still get excisted when the postman arrives - how sad is that ?!
And does anyone remember those smoke bombs, from Germany ?
Lit with a match, they created a huge amount of smoke. All wonderfully non PC. Happy days.
PS. Sell your DC comics on eBay I suggest.
PPS. I'm sure my wife keeps a woopee cushion in our bed. Amazing how she manges to hide it too. Now that IS magic.
