Uni Freshers Performance

Postby MikeMagician » Sep 18th, '11, 22:06

Hey guys.

Basically my habit of carrying my cards around with me all the time paid off I think. Basically was in a student club with a friend, and took out my cards. Shown my friend a simple effect and he loved it. Next thing, a group of fresher lads came over and asked if they could have some tricks. Performed my ACR routine and two card monte. Bearing in the mind I would have never done this before without shaking. As I was showing these effects, a lot of attention gathered in the club. Realistically about 50 people were crowding round to watch the effects I was showing to these freshers. Bouncers came, but acknowledged it was all fun.

Next thing, I thought I might take a risk and perform card to mouth surrounded by 50 + people. Nobody seen the move, and as I directed all the attention down to the deck, everyone was burning my hands with their eyes. Then as I performed some sybils, the attention was brought up to me. It was probably the best moment of my life. Everyone screamed, ran, jumped, everything. Never, ever had such an amazing reaction from a large group of people.

All in all, a great confidence boost for myself. I really don't know where it came from. I had two pints before, but everything was as fast as I could do it without Earned £2 and a drink also! Met some new friends. Great night.

Thanks guys, just wanted to share this amazing moment. Practise really does pay off.

Relish preformances like this, Mike - there's really nothing better for boosting your confidence than an experience like this....the only way is up now, dude :)

Well done, and keep it rollin'!

Great story, mate.

I try most of my new stuff out in the pub for mates and quite often a crowd will gather. There's no time for nerves to build and the buzz is great.

Keep it up, mate - hope it's given you plenty confidence to keep going. :)

Great news. It's a real fun feeling the first time you do card to mouth. It's astonishing really no one sees. But they don't.

And now the shakes will go more and more with each experience like this you have.
