This was, as stated above, my first convention and I was not entirely sure what to expect.

At least with a limited budget it was easy to control my CUPS!

I thought the lectures were good, Etitienne mostly performed stuff off his 2 disc dvd set which I personally found disappointing as I was hoping to see/learn something new/different although his gimmick for the currency trick is genius!

I've got Garrett's 3 disc dvd set and got to chat to him after the lecture about his phenomenal one handed rubix cube solving. I'd not seen his Banded routine before and was amazed by Stand up Monte, even having an idea of how it's done the moves just fly by.

The most impressive trick was watching how quick magicians part with their cash!

The convention itself was a little disorganized and due to some intermittent camera issues I'm not sure how those sat further back found the lectures with the failing screen image.

I too found the last part of the day a bit drawn out and a third lecture may have been needed, although it was good to see some of the dealers demo some of their stuff on stage, including Dave Forrest's STAR.
