what if Chris then headbutted or glassed the guy? These are all things that happen in real life. It's worrying people can't see that.
Most people have said to me "what if he hit him" so i think most people realise that could have happened ! But you can say that about anything !!

What if in the heist when the security guard was on the floor they stamped on him or strarted hitting people in the face with the gun when they popped out at the end of the road to stop them or right down to on you've been framed when someone jumps out on someone wearing a gorilla mask ! What if that person had a heart attack ! Should they be ashamed lol. I just think it was all a bit childish and would have been alot worse if they had done really nasty stuff like they made out they was going to do.

I thought the guy last night was called "Kris".

I liked the beginning and end of the show, but the bit in the middle felt really long and boring to me; maybe because I wouldn't have watched the Remote Control show had it been real. The methodology was also flawed, so it didn't really show what it claimed to have shown, far worse than the previous week.

I guess it would be too hard for them to do really nasty things, as really nasty things would have had to be of been faked (so no one is actually getting hurt) and I think it would be unlikely the audience would think it was real. But yeah I guess there's lots of things that can go wrong in any kind of prank..

Yeah i know but i think they could have got away with being a bit nastier ;) lol
The phone call about being fired just seemed a bit childish really, a nasty option would have been something like his girlfriend being hurt or another family member that would have been a genuinly nasty prank phone call that would have proved a bit more.

Maybe because i used to be (am lol) a bit of a pranker i didnt think anything last night was really nasty so the whole 'experiment' was a bit of a waste of time. Its funny that its inbetween shows that are to do with killing people and then telling people to be ashamed that they wanted him to get a prank phone call lol

That just depends on your view point. I know for a fact that Lord Freddie wasn't a little bit bored.

I'll always be a fan, but that doesn't mean everything he does will 'blow me away' by any stretch of the imagination. Seeing him live is entertaining though.

Not much of a reaction from the audience or the bloke involved.
If someone was having that bad a day I shouldn't expect there are many that would take it in their stride as much as he did, most people would get incredibly angry or upset.

What saddens me when watching these shows is the thought of how brilliant Derren's tv shows used to be.
I found this show long-winded and boring and a far cry from his gripping, earlier specials. He's a great performer but any great performer also needs good material to work with.

Hello, I'm new here so i don't know what i can and can't say with regards to derrens methods so i'll just say what I'm going to say and if it isn't ok- please delete but don't ban; I'm new! if i have missed a trick or am stating the obvious, again, sorry.

I don't see how much of derrens work can involve anything but stooges, not because he needs them to make the act work just because there is no way you could swing the ethical side of showing a woman her own death in a car crash (trick or treat) no matter how you tried to justify it (it makes no difference if she signed a contract or not)
Showing a whole audience (who are supposedly unaware of the coming 'surprise') a man being shot infront of them (assassin)...
derren + crew would have NO idea what underlying mental issues people in that audience have and would have to debrief all of the audience incase the stunt triggered something and they got the blame(I'm sure some people will say oh,but i saw it and I'm not jumping off bridges! we were 'let in' on what was going on though, you don't watch Eastenders thinking it's all real :P )
When i did my psych degree you had to jump through hoops and a case of 'the end justifies the means' isn't good enough anymore (mostly  )

However the story he told was 10 years ago, so when he was 18. I'm sure teenagers these days do even worse, he's now settled down with his gf so probably a fairly nice guy.

But if it was a true 'experiment', rather than Derren leading the audience in the direction he wanted them to go.

You have hit the nail on the head with this one, like everything derren does, take it with a massive bucket of salt regardless of what spin he puts on it. it's just for 'entertainment purposes only' :D

...which is why his earlier work was so much more impressive, real people react as this girl did. The third rate actors he appears to be using of late have an air of unautheticity about them and it just doesn't feel right.

I know someone who is an actress and she often gets casting calls for 'reality' tv shows.
