fornier marked cards .....a plea!!

Postby daleshrimpton » Nov 1st, '11, 13:18

You may of noticed over the years, I and many other posters have raved about the fornier factory marked cards, because of their quality, they deceptive markings, and the price.

on saturday at the dealers day, i had a word with cards for magic, and i found out that these items are just no longer available at the moment. Forniers print run sold out, and they have not replaced them.
But... they will re print, if they get enough orders.
1000 should do it.

now, you have to remember that forniers cost around about 8 pounds a pack. ( if i recall) the next best marked deck that C.F.M sell... is well over twenty quid.

Forniers, are priced so you can roughly handle them.. get them signed, torn, all stuff that acts as a convincer.

so a plea... I urge you to inquire about the forneirs, in hope that they will order more...

otherwise this valuable tool, could be lost for good.

That's a shame. I normally mark my own cards but I have used Fornier cards a fair bit and they are very very good. I hope they do re-print for you.

Have you tried any dealers, apart from Cards for Magic?

I have just moved from Fournier to Boris Wild purely so that I can swap decks in and out, I always work with blue bikes and the Fournier ios an obvious "foreigner" in my routine.

In my opinion the Fournier deck is a superb marked deck and I will be sorry if is gone for all time.

I have been looking all over the place. Unfortunatly the problem is at Forniers.
Any dealers that will risk a punt and get them to do a new print run, could have a nice bit of buseness.

I will definitely send my inquiry to Fournier, as this is my favorite deck out there.

In the meantime, Dale - not sure if you're aware of this, but if you hunt around on Google for the European Reader Deck, it's the Fournier marked deck in a different box. Not sure why the box is for a brand called Master, but the deck inside is exactly what you're looking for.
