Wonder whether that's aimed at Magicians or Laymen?

Probably the former given some of the comments on his recent shows. Shame, being attacked like that, means he has had to loose pretty much all the mystique which made it interesting to begin with.

Don't agree with the Lawyers checking everything though :? People lie on TV all the time, things are set up, filmed ahead instead of being live, multiple takes etc.
If you can't lie, surely his PS would have had lawyers going ballistic?

You're absolutely right Phillip. I hate it when magicians say that he's claiming skills he doesn't have, he should be more honest, etc. Just jealousy in that they don't have the personality, skills or stage presence to be anywhere near as successful. So they're wrecking all the fun and mystery for laypeople. Magicians have always made quite bold claims about their abilities - e.g. Houdini, for example, it's just part of showmanship.

Some people need to lighten up and go outside by the sound oh it.
Considering that Brown has always said he's honest about being dishonest I don't know what more people want. Anyone with half a brain knows he lies through his face when he's performing, and those who don't are probably the ones who thinkhe really IS psychic and just claims he's not.

I think a lot of laypeople and his hardcore fans believe he can do all the things he appears to be doing and kind of forget that they should remember they are watching an 'illusionist'. Do people watching David Copperfield actually think he can fly?

Wait, shouldn't that be: "All magicians are liars, EXCEPT me"? :P
