This is a bit of a follow up to the thread about surviving a mugging, but I'm curious as to how many members use a smart phone and whether you have an antivirus product installed - even a free one. So, do you?

On my PC I'm careful to keep my antivirus and firewall up to date. My phone though, not so much.
I don't really know why. Maybe something to do with the Linux heritage and an assumption that most black hats would be writing for Windows.
Every now and then I think I'm being silly with that though... so I'm going to look into the options.

No however I am tempted to get one next year and it will be the first thing I look at.

iPhone 4 and no antivirus. There was a story on the radio the other day about how virii are now being targeted at smartphones, so maybe that should change.

Now, difficult question time: did they all come from legitimate sources? I'm not trying to catch you out, just trying to assess the general level of smartphone security awareness.

IPhone 4 and iPad (first gen), not that many apps, both from legit sources but without AV (for now; I am keeping an eye out for it).

Used to have a hell of a lot until I had a 'clean out'. All of them are from the app store online/through the phone itself.

All through the app store. I did the whole jailbreak thing with my iPhone 3G and it didn't really do anything for me, so the 4 is completely standard. I wouldn't consider downloading an app from a source other than the app store.
