I don't know if the story is going to be rousing or cheesy, but check out those flying sequences! At last CGI is good enough to do justice to a WWII dogfight - P40s, P51s, B17s, Me109s and (oh yes!) Me262s this has the potential to be awesome. George Lucas built the StarWars X-Wing/Tie-Fighter sequences around classic WWII footage and now LucasFilms gets to do it for real.
