Learned Pig

Postby AA 14 » Dec 28th, '11, 06:21

Great news!!! Do you guys know it is still possible to access The Learned Pig?

Not sure if I should put the link on here but if you guys want it, just PM me.

I was so disappointed when i thought it was finished as I enjoyed reading some of the old books and articles on there, so I am well pleased to still have access!

Have you accessed a PDF? I know a link to the index but no downloads worked last time I tried.

The usual "members only" link still works for me.

I still get the news that the site closed on December 15th - is there a new link?

If you log into the members area (http://www.thelearnedpig.com.pa/magos/" target="_blank) you'll find the articles are back online.

The members page has always been online, but during the outage the content was missing. This led me to mistakenly claim (on another forum) that the site was actually still working. But today it's definitely live, complete with PDFs etc.

EDIT: I see that the registration page is unavailable, though, so it's only good news for existing members. {insert smug emoticon}

The link above by Ted is the one, the home page still says it is closed.
I have found some very interesting stuff on there so am delighted I can still access it.

It looks like the learned pig has disappeared again, when I go to the log in link it's just an advertising page. There is a 'mirror' site around but I don't know if it's authorised or whether it is safe to use or not.

I know Chris Wasshurber is taking it over. I'm not sure when this will actuall happen though.

The most recent Lybrary magic newsletter said:

I have been working on the integration of TLPP into the
Lybrary.com website. The first part is done. There is no need to register
separately for it. I handle access to it the same way I do with the Magic
Knowledge Base. You access TLPP through your Lybrary.com customer account.
If you are subscriber to my magic newsletter you will see a link under the
Tools section to TLPP. This is my way to limit access to TLPP to magicians.
At the moment you will only see the TLPP Ezine. Over the next weeks and
months I will add the ebooks and other resources Marko compiled.

If you have any suggestions, comments or ideas please let me know.

It seems to be live now. If you login to Lybrary, and go to "My Account" you should see the link to The Learned Pig Project at the bottom of the page.
