Good packet ID

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Hmm.... This is all interesting stuff... I love my ID.

But is it just me or does this thread border on being exposure?

Fair enough :)

Ted wrote:It's possibly worth noting that what we always refer to as the ID here is actually the Ultra Mental deck. The ID presentation requires a UMD, but you don't need to go through the pantomime of having the spec. shuffle an invisible set of cards . I don't *ever* perform the ID presentation. Well, I did once and my participant thought it was a stupid trick. I used the same deck as a straight prediction a couple of weeks later for the same person and they really liked the effect. They did not know that the method was the same. That was years ago now ...

Very strongly agree with this Ted. When I got my first deck and read about the invisible stuff I thought it would never work for me so I've never tried it like that. This works best as a straight forward amazing production and there seems no reason for misdirection to me, but then I don't like to do much chat with my magic, I'm more the silent type. I'd only ruin it if I opened my gob to much :o

Well, since we are on the boarder of exposing I will add. Odd on one side, Even on the other. Spread the cards in a vertical position, 'backs' facing you rather than horizontal, 'backs' facing the floor'. All you really have to do is know which way to orient the cards when you remove them from the box. No math, no real pattern.
