Now I have the books (Lulu can be very slow at times), I have to say that they are fantastic, at least to my newbie, uneducated in mentalism, moron eyes.
Seriously, get these if you can afford them! If not for the material, then for the looks of horror from the family when they see the title and know you aren't good looking clothed, let alone not.
Yes, my mother laughed for a solid 5 minutes. Thanks Tomo...

Hurrah!

Now, serious question time: Should I keep the sale open longer? It, and the sale before Christmas, have been a great success, which makes me think that the prices of my work are normally too high in a recession. After all, as a writer, my one aim in life is to put as many copies of everything I've done in front of as many eyeballs as possible. Judging by this month's Online Visions, the free flow of my work to the people who can benefit most from it is certainly annoying the usual suspect, which must mean I'm doing something right

Thoughts?

Personally I do not feel your work is overpriced, I just think people have limited funds.

When people buy your work at sale price it's not because they think "that's far more reasonable" more a case of "can I afford not to buy it at that price?

"The most important thing is not to stop questioning."

I agree with A_n_t, it's not overpriced...

I paid full price for the first one, and it certainly wasn't over priced. But having 2 & 3 at 50% off it made no sense not to get them!

I've been thinking a similar thing, last month when I was doing my Christmas Specials I had the highest number of sales that I've had and even though most of the books were sold at half price it was also my second most profitable month. But I think that the people buy because they know that the books are on sale and they know that the price will be going back up in a week or so time. I'm not sure that you'd get as many sales if the sale price was really the regular price.

I am debating if i should extend my sale, but i don't think it is fair on the dealers that are selling my books. Hmm....

Here's what I'll do: I'll keep the sale open and when purchases drop off, I'll know everyone's had their fill and I'll end it. How about that?

They sell a lot more than I do from my obscure little part of the net, and whenever I end a sale I get emails from people asking if they can quickly sneak under the wire as they've only just been paid. I feel bad about ending the sales.

There's another Lulu 25% off coupon code available: LULUBOOKAU305 I think you can simply put UK instead of AU (for Australia). US customers just take it out.

Any chance of a kindle version? And by that I mean a real Kindle version instead of a PDF?

You probably already know this, but you can email most formats (pdf, doc etc.) to your kindle email account with a subject of 'convert' and Amazon run the file through a sausage machine and send you it back in Kindle format.

Unfortunately, in my experience, this doesn't work much better than Calibre, which is a problem when books contain Tables...
