Not exactly the most dynamic effect - or video. Go on, be honest, how many seconds did it take before you figured out a way to do this?

I liked the trailer, the trick isn't for me but at least the advert was a straightforward performance to camera, rather than a montage of reaction shots with words flashing up talking about how powerful or revolutionary it is. We need more honest adverts like this. Nobodys going to buy this and be disappointed. (Mainly because nobody's going to buy it.)

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

I'll give it to them that the video is honest and clear, but really for this trick it's not the best idea. I mean the stuff he's doing isn't exactly advanced sleight of hand. I mean I'm sure that the first performance he didn't venture further than Royal Road. Still, I guess it's just a valentines day thing they're trying to push.

That's the problem, newbies won't buy it because when your starting out you want to buy things that look cool and 'street', and experienced magicians won't buy it because they already know how to do it.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

"This effect is killer, it's absolutely sick"
"This effect is so strong, you could start a religion with it"
etc.
etc.

To be fair, it's one of my standards!
Though with just a red back, not a kiss, and not as much corn involved either.

The trailer was a welcome change from all the shakily shot, edgy, cool and c*** (not the best) videos we get today.

The trick might not be much, but in its place will get the reaction the performer is looking for. If it is not overpriced, what is wrong with that?

I did a similar effect with Jumbo cards as a part of my kids show when I was starting out. I just never thought of marketing it! I don't think it would have made my fortune, though.

Same here. Gets great reactions with the red back, even without the hair dye & Daz white shirt.
