What's this effect called?

Postby MagicBill » Feb 28th, '12, 23:05

Hey Talkmagicers, I can't remember the name of this trick - the effect is you put a coin on the spectator's hand and make a 2nd one vanish from yours - it then reappears on their hand, visually.

I remember seeing the demo video, but can't remember the name of the actual effect...

Any ideas? x

I'm not certain from the description but it could be 'Digital Dissolve' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oh3kIj7TqN4 which was originally invented by Steve Dusheck, though he called it 'Copper Silver Transposition'. Whether it's the one you mean or not, it's still a great trick!

Nope - DigiDisolve is an instant transposition; sounds more like the OP is talking about something significantly different.

That said, Digital Dissolve IS awesome

Ahhh, nope, it's not Digital Dissolve, which I already have and IS awesome as you say Rob... this is something else, the coin literally appears on the back of their hand visually after you vanish yours. I guess I know the gimmick employed, but I know it was sold as a package trick with handling instructions etc for this routine...??

Not that this is particularly helpful, but the Wizard Product Review definitely featured it at some point...so if you've got a couple of hours...
