Having bought the original Spider Pen and been on the receiving end of Mesika's non-existent customer service, I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole. Once bitten, twice shy and I have no confidence in Mesika's products after that.
The original Spider Pen wasn't cheap (around £50) and it was quite frankly unusable in performance as it was made from very cheap shoddy materials and let you down when you needed it. The middle section cracked meaning the connection was hit and miss. I understand this is a common problem. About four years ago I emailed Mesika and expressed my concerns. I got a reply four years later basically saying they knew the old one wasn't perfect so why not buy the new one. Spam. I also expressed my concerns on Mesikas Facebook page under a post plugging his new one and that comment magically and mysteriously disappeared.
My experience with the previous pen is that it was a great idea in theory, but the cheap and odd looking materials used didn't add up to value for money and Mesika doesn't care enough about the purchasers of his products to warrant them with a response. I did try to use it twice in performance and it let me down both times.
If the new one is so great and they are aware the original had faults, why not spend a more time making the original one better rather than release something unusable and expect people to shell out again in a few years time for something that may or may not do the job.
My opinion? - But a Boss ITR instead.
