curiosity is costing me heaps!

Postby Chardyboy » Mar 30th, '12, 15:48

I'm very new to magic!

Having recently attended a party recently where there was a strolling magician, I felt violated by a bit of mentalism performed on/at/by me and still haven't managed to work it out!! Since then I've bought a couple of decks of cards and have been doing simple tricks on the wife and kids...then WOW 2.0 appeared through the post......closely followed by The Vanishing.......

I just love watching the trailers for all of these tricks - it's better than the rubbish on TV!

Regards

Dave

Thanks.

I've got the week off work and have just packed some bits and bobs to take away with me and practise in the evenings.

Hopefully I'll be able to focus on a few items rather than flit and flutter between loads and master none!

I am confident with the ID....woooOOOOOoooo

Regards

Dave

I've made a list of a half dozen effects that I want to do well. When I get a CUPS twinge I look at my list and realise practice would serve me better than buying more stuf

When you are starting out, it's a right of passage to buy everything you can!!

Enjoy it and be careful.

I'm sure that just about everyone knows what I'm going to say but you're best off saving your money. Don't buy lots of tricks, instead get yourself a decent book and you really can't go far wrong with Mark Wilson's Complete Course. A very good book that'll give a great introduction to lots of different areas of magic.
