Hi, guys. I'm introducing myself.

Hi everyone. I'm a beginner in the magic stuff. I've read few Derren Brown's mentalism e-books and have performed his tricks to my friends. It's definitely a great skill. I really love seeing terrified faces after the tricks.

One of the most important thing I've learnt is always claim it's not a trick and never reveal the secrets. I want to learn about hypnotic language and confidence speech to improve my performance.

Sorry my bad English and worse writing aptness.

Best wishes for everybody,

Gerrard_br

As the master Derren has never produced any works in the electromagical media I can only conclude that these were either fake or were aquired through less than legitimate means. The next lesson for you to learn would be to support the creator through purchase of their creations.

I would strongly suggest that aquire yourself a copy of the mighty Corinda's 13 Steps to Mentalism as it will be a great help in your journey.

Yes, there are no Derren e-books.

Unfortunately there are several ebooks which suggest they're 'in the style of' Derren or offer ways of achieving similar results to his TV or stage effects but they're usually nothing special and certainly not released or endorsed by Mr.B.

Welcome to TalkMagic :) (I'm new too! :D)
He probably downloaded a e-book from another seller on the internet. If so, that can have reasons.
(e.g. (if free e-book) Ha didn't have any spare money, and couldn't wait to learn some magic/mentalism, but would support the creator later/in another way.
(If not free e-book) Got a offer from a guy on the internet that could scan the book and send it as a e-book, and he accepted, etc.) Maybe he just miss-typed?
Kind Regards

The policy on TM is very firm on this topic - there are no valid excuses for trading, downloading or otherwise dealing with pirated material. However as we don't know for sure, let's not go too far down that route.

The original poster may have purchased something he did not know was fake, it can happen.

Can we please stop this here, we really don't want to look like we're ganging up on a new memeber. While piracy isn't tolerated here and is wrong, we've also all made mistakes. The point has been made so lets just leave it there can we?

Thanks all and welcome to TM, Gerrard :D
