They are no doubt British celebrities of some sort that I am not acquainted with since I no longer live in your dreadful country. I have moved to an even more dreadful country instead where the place is so boring that even the female impersonaters are women.

You have to judge your audience. If they walk away laughing and gasping call them back and make them laugh and gasp even more. If they walk away stone faced it simply means that you are a lousy magician and they don't want to see any more and I don't blame them. And be grateful that they are advancing away from you rather than towards you.
