Alakazam
Not always the cheapest but the service is above and beyond in my experience.
MagicBox - Again tip top service and very rarely I get to visit the shop they guys are always great for advice too
Other than that I've ordered from Unleash Your Dreams, Cards for magic, Dude thats cool, merchant of and loads of others
I tend to not mind paying more for service so I don't shop around as often as I possibly should!

I tend to avoid Alakazam these days, mainly because of their policy of not refunding your money if an order gets lost in the post. They really want you to use special delivery for the added protection, but this doesn't make sense for small-ish orders. I don't know of any other shop that won't refund your cash if an order goes astray in the post. (Come to think of it, is what they're doing even legal?)

No this isn't legal. The seller owns the item until you have recieved it. So if it goes missing the sender still owns the items so if they are charging you for that then they are breaking the law. It should be the sender putting a claim in with the royal mail for the loss as well not the buyer.

So Tim what would you do IF there wasn't a Magic Shop locally

I have used, amongst others, Mr. E Enterprises (stuff sent immediately) Magic Nevin (also fast) and my old friend Mike Danata.

BUT the question asked--'Where is your FAVOURITE place to buy magic on line', will ALWAYS have varying answers, magician to magician.
There will be a concensus of agreement re quality, value for money, well packed swift delivery BUT:
in the end you yourself have to try as many as you can and compile the list that pleases you.
