help with finding shimmed items not coins or peas

Postby seymourmagic » Oct 15th, '12, 10:03

after seeing what the blackwidow can do i want to do this with my bat but i dont have a shim kernal of corn,
do they sell this someplace? what about other shim items i.e matchsticks, rubberbands, toothpicks, small plastic army men,
I dont want to just add wire to the backside i want it to be examinable before and after the switch anyone know of any such
bat/raven compatible items other than coins?

Again, stop asking and start looking. . .

You can by shimming kits that go with the PK Pro system. These kits allow you to gaff just about anything and once you're good at it, you can do it right in front of people without them ever seeing you do it.

Rather than using your Bat order the PK Pro System and learn to work things the right way first and then learn to work with the two in tandem.

I thought that was the point of the forums , if i wanted to google everything and search through a search engine of tons of c*** (not the best) I could and will, but thought if some here already knew perhaps like the item I specifically asked about a popcorn kernel and what site is offering it, it could potentially save me loads of my time, like your suggestion of the pk pro system. your coming across like (dont ask questions do your own work), not the nicest reaction I ever got but thanks for the suggestion of the pk pro set, do you know if using it I can shim rubberbands for instance or is that asking to much?

I can think of a fairly straightforward way to shim a corn kernel, I'm not sure the end result is worth the effort though! I'll pm you if you like.

please do! I dont have any use for a shimmed rubberband , lt was just as an example of something thats not normally, and may be hard to make yourself, like a popcorn kernel;
or a plastic army man toy that went awol and reappeared in an impossible location. but mainly looking for that kernel ;)

Have answered, the method may work for an army man too!

thanks much for that input, however I have decided against any of these effects, I'm gonna leave the bat as a one trick pony for now. going to heed some good advise and add to my magic library instead of getting another trick.

Go to the Magic Depot and get their PK Putty, that might give you what you're after. . . but I will again encourage you to stop trying to take short cuts. What you do when you ask such things in forums is get other people to do your footwork. You likewise tip your hand when it comes to any sort of original development, allowing others to take the slightest suggestion of an effect concept and get credit for it LONG before you're ready to make things happen.

What I've encouraged is nothing other than how I and I'm certain, most others on the majority of forums get their info, so stop being so bitter when someone gives you a nudge or two. . . I've already explained things.

Once again handing things our for examination. But I digress. (see my other posts on your threads) If you are switching the item out then why on earth does the 'dirty' prop need to be perfect? They are never going examine it because you are switching it out.

true, I'm embarrased now, obviously I havent done much pk work, and wasn't even thinking logically about how I would prepare props to do any. Only one effect have I done, shows by this post {blushing} I have made alot of magic happen without any devices, so please don't think Im this ignorant in all areas. :)
