hmmmmm, not sure I can agree Dale, the three awards Allen were voted for and won were well deserved I'm sure we can agree no?

Or do you think he would have been offended by the awards being named after him? I thought it was a nice subtle touch, and quite pertinent given the timing of the awards. I'm certain the Mods would not have wished to cause offence either

I don't really see where else people are "making a fuss" over Allen in this thread anyway, and most of the words about him have been done in a tasteful way as far as I can see?

I'm sure Jim hasn't meant to offend anyone, he is one of the forum's gentlemen

No offence was meant at all with the renaming of the awards, it was purely done as a mark of respect to Allen and with the best intentions as I'm sure was the fact with the awards that he won.

Unfortunatly in Allen's case as with most things in life, people don't recognise something special until it's gone.

Just to clarify. Allen has been a winner of these awards in the past and accepted his plaudits like the true gent he was.

The awards had their name changed by moderator request as a mark of respect to him.

To win Most knowledgeable, helpful, and most missed seem fair dinkum to me!

Do please bear in mind that these awards are simply recognition amongst TM members of others who have done something or achieved something which they felt they wanted to vote for. It doesn't mean that those who didn't get a mention are any less valued. In addition, if people want to vote then they will, if they don't want to vote then they won't. Can we consider this aspect now dealt with please/

Oh we're much nicer than that green place, I've left that place well and truely in my shady past.

Thank You for noticing me, my very first ever award of any kind! I am going to make up my own award letter about this and frame it and hang it on my wall! I also would like to thank God, my family and friends, all TM members, especially those that nominated and voted for me, my fans, my co-workers, Mr. Allen Tipton, the Moderaters, my two doves, hocus and pocus, my rabbit, abracadabra and my parrot Shazam.
