Summer fair

Postby Poppadom » Jul 31st, '13, 09:33

I thought you might like to know that I've been booked to perform at a summer fair at a local nursing home on 10th August. I volunteered to perform for expenses only, as it will give me the opportunity to publicise and hand out business cards. Wish me luck!

Good luck with that Sir.. I remember my first performance at a nursing home in London in 2007, sadly everybody was asleep towards the end.  Well they were all over 80. :D

Ha ha. I'm pretty sure this one is a public event, so hopefully I won't have that problem!

Well, I performed at the fair today and it all went very well - everyone was still awake at the end! I actually only did about an hour of magic, because after that it died down a bit and they spent ages announcing the world's longest raffle. The stuff I did do was well-received though, and I got the opportunity to hand out quite a few business cards, so all in all it was a great success.
