You'll enjoy the Magic Circle show, always well worth trying to get to one of their events if anyone's in the neighbourhood. I tend to seek out second hand bookshops in any new towns I visit and, so far, they've all had a section of Magic - not necessarily a huge selection but enough to be interesting. Sadly some of the prices asked are a bit on the high side but it depends on the book and your preferences. Not too long ago I bought a copy of Bobo's Modern Coin Magic, full size hardback in the original mailing carton, published in the mid 1950s and it cost me £40.00. OK I can (and did!) buy the Dover version for under a tenner and PDFs are available on line for even less but there's something special about having the proper book from all those years ago. Bottom line, just trawl around for any second hand bookshops and they may very well have stock of magic books to check out.
