Pocket Monte - Electronic Magic Trick

Postby Johnny Bravo » Jun 10th, '13, 23:11

The Effect
A wooden box is shown to have 3 buttons and a LED.
Show that only one of the buttons can control the LED.
When the other 2 buttons are pushed nothing happens.

Give the box a couple of turns and spins if you like and ask the spectators to push the button they think will cause the LED to light.

When they press the button the LED does not light.
Ask them to try again.
When they press another button the LED still does not light.

You press the third button and the LED lights.
Repeat it again and again with different results each time.

You can have two buttons selected and the spectator still will not be able to get the LED to light!

EVEN if all three buttons are pressed at once!!!!

Please note that the spectator can choose any button, that's right
ANY BUTTON, they will never be right!

This is under your complete control there are no external gimmicks, or any secret switches, the whole unit is examinable and can be given out to be handled by the spectator.

Cost
£19.99 + £3.25 postage.

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

I'll leave this blank as I do have issues with this kind of work, I reckon anyone with a decent memory could cope with this :?: .

Review
First off I really like this little trick, and that's it, it's a little trick, not magic.
However I can't do it. I have issues with numbers / maths work etc & I totally lose point at which sequence the lights are at.
I did email the seller to see if there were better instructions but he had none. I do believe this is down to me though :(

You can let the spec examining to their hearts content, they won't find anything.

Overall
It's not the sort of thing you are going to want to carry around with you but as a little nik nak for around the home to mess with peoples minds, great.
Overpriced?
Not sure, it's a nicely made bit of retro 1960s electronics which I think looks fun on a shelf.

7/10 :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Hi
Had a 3 button monte box years ago from Unleashyourdreams but lost in a house move. Do you still have one for sale as i’m getting my Grandson into magic and effects...
Have tried several times to message Unleashyourdreams but no answer although they sell Ouija boards on Ebay?

Regards
