Rising Pen Tips

Postby turtle » Aug 23rd, '05, 03:17

Hey. I just bought the rising pen magic trick. I am a 13 year old and i am wondering if the reason i can't rise it properly is the fact that i am young. For example, i can only rise it about a centimeter Note: do not give out how to rise it

I doubt yoiur age has much to do with it.
You will have to give some details, because i am not familiar with the effect you describe. I cant find it on line either.

it is from corbin magic. It makes a paper mate pen rise in midair. The pen can rise almost straight up in the air

corbin magic?

Not a name i am familiar with. This isnt something to do with a guy ( local to me) calling himself the "amazing corbin "is it? ( how cheesy eh?)
he turns up at summer schemes and teaches children tricks .

If so, I dont know if anybody can help, because its clear that this effect has been given a name thats not what it should be.
If you are reasonably local to me though...

Where are you based?

Hi Turtle - I'm familiar with the Rising Pen from Corbin (it's Tyler Corbin, by the way - US magician/ebay retailer).

Don't be afraid to reposition the "magic bit", you might want to raise it gently or push it down more - it's trial and error I'm afraid. Callouses are useful too!

Nice little trick for the younger audience, I'd suggest.
