Hi.....this is "moodini" and I am under a new name "moodini3" for the reasons below.....please read, and help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am currently in under a new profile "moodini3" as I am unable to use my account under "moodini" I also tried under "moodini2" and it deactivated that account as I changed the email address........

I had to log in under a new account, as my old one (regardless of what computer I log in on) show the screen as all black background, and needless to say, that does not allow me to see my text, messages, anything for that matter, other that a blac, screen, and an occasional icon.....does anyone know what happened, and how to fix it?

The biggest problem is, if I go in under my original name "moodini" the screen is all black, so I am completely unable to search out how to make the change, or anything. I also can't get in set up a new account, as it will not accept another user with an email address that is already being used (by my original account) that leaves me unable to change anything, or even log in under another name!!!!! I eventually had to set up an entirely new email account in order to be able to start up under another name.

I want to keep using my original account, but am totally unable to do so! I also can't use the second account I set up under "moodini2", as the email address is fake, and will not allow me to activate under that name.......how do I make the changes, so I can keep going as I once did!!!!!!

Please help me ASAP!

you somehow changed your board look, in your profile setting you can change the way the board looks, and there are only two options on this board, the subsilver (which is the normal way) and then Blubx, wich apparently is all black.

since you can't see anything then you won't be able to change it back, an admin will have to toggle the ability for members to change the board apparence to "off" and then it shold fix it for you, and then all they have to do is change it back to the way it was...no biggie really

actually you can fix it yourself, up top you will see 6 small icons (in your original membership name) and one of them will look like this

just click on it, and it will take you to your profile settings and then you will be able to see all the drop down boxes in white, these you can see, the rest will be black like the rest of the forum.

now just go to the box that says Blubx, and then toggle it to "subsilver" and then click submit, and then after that click your browser refresh button, and it should be fixed.

I think the replies from magicmathews say it all, really - if you can see messages under your new name then it's really a question of changed settings under your old name(s). None of the Moderators have access to the parts of the Forum which would invoke the changes individually so, for the time being, if you can't access your old account and change the settings back, there isn't anything we can do - sorry.

I did this before. Thought it was quite a bizarre setting! Very secret and magical, haha...

Also, if you press Ctrl-A it will select all text on the page, allowing you to see it!

I got it done.....it was in my settings. That is where I figured it would be, but like I said, was really blind when in my profile, and could not find anything anyway. I did manage to try and change the settings once before, and it didn't do anything, but after reading the suggestions, I obviously forgot to hit submit, then refresh!

However......I am back and will once again be under my original name of "moodini"

Hey mods.....any way to get rid of my other alias profiles "moodini2" and "moodini3"??????

We can arrange to delete both of the surplus profiles but it may take a while as the forum owner will need to take care of it. Welcome back anyway!
