I am not sure where i saw the better version of Dynamic coins, I know I handled it so it probably wasn't online! I'll try to remember and get some details out.

PS it might be quite easy to make a set of multiplying turnips, and you get a meal as well when you make the shell.

There is a way to stop the problem of a spec shaking it. Can't say here but if you have this problem PM me and I'll tell you how to avoid the associated difficulty.

Oh and by the way, don't agree with the original review, this is a great little trick. Easy to do with a little bit of practise and looks great to the spectators who can only be left imagining you are a true wizard at sleight of hand.

I don't do Dynamioc coins anymore, but I found it much more convincing after following this advice:

Don't lock the gimick until the end (when all the coins have vanished and you can hand out the caps). The handling is much less suspicious it everything's loose - if you see what I mean.

I dunno if that's what the instructions on the "modern" versions say, but when I got my set (about 25 year ago as a teenager) they didn't.

Hey, Mandrake, I had (well, have) the same set of Dynamic Coins from the Paul Daniels range.

My recollection is that they were the most expensive item (excluding sets of effects). It cost something ridiculous, like £20, and this was in about 1981/82. Yes, you could get a couple of sets for that price now and still have change.

It is actually a very clever vanish, but like a few other good effects, this one seems to be very commonly produced and available in regular shops, so many people might be aware of it.

Mind you, I can remember fooling a cousin of mine (who must have been about 22/23 at the time) with a rather nice (but still plastic) version of the ball vase.
