Mog Strikes again

Postby Happy Toad » Sep 27th, '05, 23:19

Toad it appears that the majority of your recent posts consist of you flaming either me, the rest of the moderators or the forum as a whole, if it embarrasses you in any way then why not just leave the forum.. if you dont have anything to contribute then just dont bother posting at all. You do more damage to the forum as a result of your constant bleating than any of the things you are actually bleating about. Just so everyone is aware this topic will be locked as its obviously going nowhere. if you wish to reply or bleat about anything else then you can pm me or any of the other mods with your concerns. Hopefully though i hope that was your last post on this forum

Let me get this straight, you think that this is a perfectable acceptable way for a moderator to behave? to attack me in a thread in which I haven't even spoken to you or about you, make wild and false accusations and then lock the thread and tell me I can't reply publically even though you chose to attack me publically. Is that about the size of it? Is this a method that all the Mods agree with? The Mods were all happy with sickening sexual references being made to a serious enquiry by a young lady but annoyed that I should suggest the comments were out of order?
I am not surprised that this is your position Mog but I am if it's the position of all the other Mods some of whom I have great respect for.

Problem is that even considering the brevity of our residence people will expect, rightly, standards to apply.

I don't always agree with what I see written in this forum but the open and honest (frank and perhaps too frank?) discourse that exists is part of being a family. After all, anyone out there never had a dispute with the their siblings?

Hope this gets sorted soonest as the blip that I hope it turns out to be.

Vic (aka the enlightened one 'ommmm! ommmmm!') :-)

ht, I know you have personal agreivances against mog but I for one agree that your post in that thread was out of order. I don't know if you read more into what Mark said than I did but I saw it as a light hearted joke considering that dancers tend to be attractive (and from experience of all the dancers I know that is the way she would have taken it too).

I think you are somtimes too quick to jump in and criticize the forum and it's members and if you take a look back at the threads where conflict has arisen you will find that you were involved in far more of them than anyone else here and, to be honest we are all rather sick of it.

Yes, I agree with nickj here. There was a point when I respected your opinon here, but you will realize you have made very few productive posts over the last few weeks - most of what you say is an attack against somebody else here.

Personally, if that's a "sickening sexual reference" I'll eat my shoe. Sounds like a joke to me, especially when you consider that he may be offering her work.

I also hope that it gets sorted out .

For the record, I read the thread and whilst I agree that there was perhaps some innuendo, in my opinion there was no sickening sexual references made by anyone.

Please do get this resolved as these argumentative posts are becomming tedious.

Right well personally I believe that the post and another was offensive, before I posted on the topic I asked 3 other people their thoughts just in case I was being too sensitive, all agreed it was out of order. Anyhow at best it is debatable. People have been sacked for less. Harmless sexual inuendo you may think it to be, but I don't think any sexual inuendo was called for, esp. when it was followed by a post asking to see a download of her "strutting her stuff" and telling people to "Get in"However whether you take my view on this or not, I believe that Mog attacking me in the way he did and locking the thread with a request for me not to respond except privately via PM is definitely an abuse of normal Mod ettiquette. What happened to his own suggestion to me, ie sending private PMs.

I just note that one of the posts has been deleted or edited without any sign of this being done, very handy for Mog.

Dat,
Just as a note of clarification by sickening sexual reference, I meant sickening comment that happened to be of a sexual nature. For me the question was how would the response look to Bella? I personally think it would reflect very poorly, others I have asked agree. Also whatever your thoughts should a Mod speak in the way Mog did to a member? Again I think not.

i wasnt actually going to mention this since i thought the matter would be closed but isnt it funny how on this forum the matter is sickening etc and on magicbunny its just a case of people being overly sensitive

Personally I think that it's a shame that people are so easily offended, we live in a culture that seems to love to protect the sensitivities of just about everyone nowadays and common sense has gone out of the window. I have on occasion had women talking about me like this and I have to say I wasn't offended but actually was rather pleased ( maybe cos it's so rare lol ) We have to admit that she might be offended because some people do take offense at this kind of talk. I'd like to think that she wouldn't be though and I'm betting even if she were that secretly she would much rather these kind of comments than no mention at all of her looks.

so to me it would appear that its nothing more than the usual Toad S****stirring.

so PLEASE can we just stop all this nonsense?

While you have quoted a comment about a radically different situation Mog, I'm happy to drop the whole sexual inuendo thing Mog, but let me ask you a question about the other issue. Do you feel it is appropiate to attack someone ( in this case that wasn't even speaking about or directly to you ) and then lock the thread giving no right to reply other than privately?
I'd seriously be interested in your views on this.

Well, I'm SERIOUSLY interested in seeing this bickering come to an end.

There's just no need!

Ergo, this thread, is now locked, and would any bickering please be kept to private messages to avoid the forum turning into a clashing of football fans.

this is my last post on this matter,

1. the situation isnt different in the slightest.. both situations involve either sexual references or innuendo against ladies and your views on the matter are at completely different ends of the scale depending on which forum your on.

2. It wasnt an attack as such, it was simply as case of em doing the job i was asked to do, which in this case is to moderate the forum to make sure things dont get out of hand.

3.in another one of your rants you claimed that it wasnt fair to lock or move parts of a thread without the other parties being informed of who did it and why, well i gave a reason as to why it was locked and i even gave you the oppertunity to keep going on about it in pm with me bhut as usual youd rather start anothr thread about abuse of mod power whatever and waste even more time.

now as i said you can continue with this in pm with me or not.. i really dont care but PLEASE stop cluttering the forum with this nonsense.
