The magic circle is where professional magicians get together and share ideas about magic.

Basically, talk about magic (not secrets of magic) and other things related to magic ie: magicians, programmes about magic,..etc..

Because you're supposed to talk about the magic he does.

OK, if you read the agreement you accepted before getting your original registration, you'd have seen most of the rules and regs which keep TM on an even keel. In addition, look at http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic3632.php which is part of the very first section of TM, and which sets out the basic parameters. TM is not a Bulletin Board to make multiple one line posts, it’s Magic Discussion forum where, as mentioned many times as well as above, we do exactly that. The idea is that we don’t ask for secrets or give them away, we don’t slag people off and we don’t post messages on a personal and intimate level. By all means discuss Stephen’s style of magic, the tricks he performs and the shows he appears in but it’s to be done in an adult and sensible way. There’s an old saying which is even more true today: If you have nothing worthwhile to say, say nothing.

TM offers facilities for the discussion and enhancement of magic on many levels, some of them at top professional level, so we need to make sure that it’s a well regulated place where, unlike some other Magic discussion places, high standards and courtesy are the norm. It’s for this reason that inappropriate messages will be deleted, usually with some word of explanation but, after a while, with no explanation. We don’t like spending our time doing it but that’s the job we were offered and accepted some years ago. And, just in case anyone is curious, no, we don’t get paid or get freebies for doing it, we have to buy all our stuff just like everyone else!

hiya people, can i ask you all whats your favourite trick and why?
mine is the simple cigarrette through the pound coin it gets your audience thinking and questioning how you did it, GREAT!

Note from Mods: The same question has been asked elsewhere quite recently and this thread isn't really the right place for it anyway so let's not dilute the thread any further. Please stick to what Stephen is doing on TV etc.

why did you delete that last one i put???

If you'd read the message above properly you wouldn't keep asking. The essential bits are:
TM is not a Bulletin Board to make multiple one line posts, it’s Magic Discussion forum where, as mentioned many times as well as above, we do exactly that……..we don’t post messages on a personal and intimate level…….it’s to be done in an adult and sensible way. There’s an old saying which is even more true today: If you have nothing worthwhile to say, say nothing…..inappropriate messages will be deleted, usually with some word of explanation but, after a while, with no explanation.

Louise, if you can't keep within the guidelines and persist in making silly posts as per the two deleted earlier this afternoon, you and your IP address will be banned. Enough is enough - there will be no more explanations or benefit of the doubt for you.

Added later: It seems that Louise simply can't understand plain English therefore this topic is locked and the Forum Owner is being advised to take further action as soon as possible. Sorry about all this but we feel enough chances have been given and continuing this topic is now destroying what TM sets out to be.
